Free Running in LA made a big enough splash to attract the local Fox affiliate, Fox 11. They aired a few minutes of local kiddies doing parkour. I wasn't very impressed with their style. They had a few tricks up their sleeves, but were in need of practice and training. They mostly looked like converted skaters. All the free runners I've seen that are good are converted gymnasts.

The last few days, it rained a lot for California. It wasn't as much as Alabama gets, but it made an impact. Normally, the LA river is less than 1 foot deep. As you can see from the image above, it's at least 12 feet deep. But that isn't the point of the post.
