I've been working on art for the past two weeks. I realized I really suck at proportions of the human face. If you want to create accurate portrayals, you may have to take a short cut. It's not cheating (in my eyes) but it will allow you to concentrate on the art, rather than the details of the art.
- Start with an empty box.
- Trace your plexiglass. It doesn't need 8.5 by 11, but should be close.
- Trace about an inch off the corners for support.
- Cut around the inside supports.
- Put some supports around the corners of the cuts.
- Put a bright light behind the plexi.
- Drop a photo with a sheet of paper on top. Start tracing.
