Five Minute Light Box DIY (Do It Yourself)

I've been working on art for the past two weeks. I realized I really suck at proportions of the human face. If you want to create accurate portrayals, you may have to take a short cut. It's not cheating (in my eyes) but it will allow you to concentrate on the art, rather than the details of the art.

  1. Start with an empty box.
  2. Trace your plexiglass. It doesn't need 8.5 by 11, but should be close.
  3. Trace about an inch off the corners for support.
  4. Cut around the inside supports.
  5. Put some supports around the corners of the cuts.
  6. Put a bright light behind the plexi.
  7. Drop a photo with a sheet of paper on top. Start tracing.
