Miles To Go Before I Sleep

1200. 1080. 960. 840. 720. 600. 480. 360. 240. 120. 60. 0. After six months and better than 10,000 miles of driving, I quit my job at 9th Street to find work in Birmingham.

9th Street was a fun. The work was stimulating and the people were cool. I was even working with one of my best friends. I got a lot of stuff done and got to dive back into what it was like working with clients. However, the distance became a problem. I'm ready to settle down. Get a house, a dog, and a family. I was ok with the drive now, but I knew I couldn't do it forever.

So, I started looking for something closer to where I wanted to be. Finally, in late December, I found something that looked promising. DataPerk has a handful of employees. They are a general technology consulting firm with a web design department I feel like I can leave a positive mark on. My first day was February 1st. Things already seem promising. There are things I can learn from them and there are things they can learn from me.

If you're looking for me now, I'll be off highway 280 in Birmingham, the city where my life is.
