The following is an advertisement.
When I posted this, I was listening to: Fleetwood Mac - The Chain
When I created this site, I wanted it to be all valid markup. In order to do that, I killed off user comments. I didn't want to, but it was the best I could do. To substitute, I decided to cross-post to LiveJournal and MySpace. I decided to try something new.
As of now, users (read: you) can post comments directly to Robertdot. I've limited the number of tags you can use, and I expect you to use good markup. That is, at least put your text between the paragraph tags I provided. Extra markup is stripped, and I provided a very weak measure to prevent spammers.
This is on a trial basis. If I can spend the time to get something like MarkDown added, I may use that instead of regular HTML. If I get spammed to hell or people don't do decent markup, I may pull the feature altogether and go back to the irritating cross-posting (but less irritating than spam).
I hope it works out. Comments have been lacking for awhile. This open format should make it far easier for people to leave feedback and facilitate discussion.
